Butterfly Breath

Butterfly breath is a great self soothing technique that we can use when we are feeling under stress. It is a method that is used in some therapies for people with PTSD, and was developed by Dr Lucy Artigas, to help with survivors of Hurricane Paulina (Mexico 1997). Using pressure (much like the concept of a weighted blanket) and breath awareness, we are able to parasympathetic nervous system online, deescalating strong emotions. Enjoy Bec x
